Description
The winding cross-section is round, the convex flank slopes towards the navel without forming an edge. The species has a distinct nodule stage. It can be observed for two turns. The nodules then become broader and lower and merge into distinct, low, slightly backward sloping ribs. Near the external side they bend forward and extinguish very quickly. Occasionally, accretion stripes cross the extrernal side. Typical for this species is the rather large distance between the ribs.

Compare
Alsatites proaries has more and more curved ribs. Laqueoceras sublaqueus has a characteristically dense and irregular ribbing. Alsatites minusculus is easily identified by its straight and wide ribs.
