Description
This very rare species has a broad oval winding cross-section and is very wide forked. The distinct, high keel is accompanied by narrow furrows and two equally high, sharpened secondary keels. The space between the secondary keels is unusually small and reminiscent of the keel region of typical species, e.g. that of V. (Epammonites) cordieri.
The strong differentiation of the external side is remarkable and deviates from the previously known representatives of the genus Schreinbachites.
The ribs are short, straight and few in number with wide spaces between them. They are mostly radial and regular. This type of ribbing resembles that of Caloceras or Vermiceras scylla.
Found specimens are relatively small, up to 40mm in diameter.

Compare
Compared to Schreinbachites retroversicostatus, the typical irregularity of the ribbing is missing. There the ribs also bend strongly forward and merge into the secondary keels.
Compared to Schreinbachites vaihingensis the ribs are higher, more bulging and the Wb too low.
