Description
The cross-section of the windings is oval, tapering outwards with increasing age. The greatest width of the coils is therefore measured near the navel. The outer side, however, remains broadly rounded, the umbilical drop is steep.
The involution is up to 50% in young specimens, but only 30% as they develop.
The ribs are radial, broad and not high. They begin at the navel edge and disappear on about 2/3 of the flank, before they imperceptibly bend forward. They thus end approximately at the winding seam, where the following winding rests.

Compare
The strong involution and the characteristic ribbing make this species easily identifiable.
