Description
The species are very similar to Alpinoceras spiratus: evolute and the WQ is highly oval. The inner coils are quite a bit wider than high, but this ratio weakens during growth. With larger diameters the WQ can become almost round.
In contrast to A. spiratus, the external side has a narrower keel with distinct furrows. The ribs, which are not numerous, stand radially on the inner coils, from a dm of approx. 15mm somewhat proradiate. They turn sharply forward near the external side and can be followed for a long time before they merge into the secondary keels.

Compare
Large specimens of Alpinoceras perspiratus are rare. The mostly very high coil width and the external side with keel and furrows characterise this species.
The few numerous, proradiate ribs are much more distinct near the external side than in A. spiratus.
